In fact, no!
Since most eSIMs cannot be reinstalled, removing your eSIM may result in its permanent loss.
To save data, we strongly advise temporarily turning off the eSIM when not in use or simply switching off Cellular Data.
Note that the validity of the eSIM will only start running once it connects to a compatible network. Do not be afraid to turn it on before you fly!

Further questions? Our Customer Care Team is here to help you.
Definitely yes!
After setting up and labeling your eSIM, you will be asked to choose your preferred line for calls and SMS. Make sure you select your Primary line to keep receiving calls on it.
Please take into account that data roaming fee may still apply to the call service based on your service operator.
We would love to hear from you. Contact our Customer Care Team.
At certain times you might want to remove your eSIM, but “when” is what really matters here, as we’ll explain below.
To remove your eSIMs, go to your device's Mobile/Cellular Settings, choose the eSIM, and then select "Remove Mobile Data Plan." Phrases to tap may differ according to the devices.
So, when?
If you no longer need it
So, your plan is not to use your eSIM again? Then yes, you can remove it safely.
If the case is that you have a Simly eSIM that is limited to one use only or can’t be topped up, then absolutely you can remove your eSIM.
If your package on the eSIM has expired
Let’s agree that, as long as you have an active package on your Simly eSIM you should NOT remove it. You may check your account on Simly’s App to get that answer. Once expired, go ahead!
You want a new eSIM for the same country as your previous one
Each time you purchase an eSIM, you will receive a new eSIM which must always be installed. To avoid confusion about which eSIM is in the device, it's always best to start the installation from scratch.
Contact our Customer Care Team for any questions.
Our eSIM is mainly a data SIM. Thus, you can use it to make calls or send messages over the internet only – WhatsApp services for instance.
Phone calls and SMS text messages aren’t supported by most of our eSIMs.
However, a few do! To know if your eSIM supports voice calls and messages too, kindly check the description when browsing the different options. You can then choose the plan type that fits your purpose in our Simly App.
Before purchasing an eSIM, you need to make sure your device is eSIM compatible.
